About the Safe Isolation of Electrical Installations Course
The Safe Isolation of Electrical Installations (CPD) course is a specialist qualification developed for any and all professionals working in electrical-related industries, including gas and plumbing.
The course will enable you to fully understand safe working procedure for the isolation of electrical supplies, and to be able to put that knowledge into practice.
The course is underpinned by the requirements laid down in the 1989 Electricity at Work Regulations and the BS 7671, (co-published by the Institute of Engineering and Technology and the British Standards Institution).
After completing the course, you can expect to be able to apply the correct isolation procedure on any scale of electrical installation, which in turn can help to prevent injury whilst work is taking place.
How is the Safe Isolation of Electrical Installations Course assessed?
To pass, you’ll need to complete a short practical assessment with a brief question and answer section.
If you are unsuccessful, you will be referred and have the opportunity to retake the exam at a later date. If you need to retake the exam, you will receive a free re-sit.
