We are now taking bookings for our air source and ground source heat pump training.
The Heat Training Grant will provide grant payments to support trainees in England undertaking short training courses relevant to heat pumps and/or heat networks. Under the scheme, training providers will be able to offer trainees grants of up to £500. In most cases, this will be presented to the trainee as a discount on the cost of the training.
The eligible courses available are Air Source, Ground Source or a combined Level 3 accredited Qualification. Which are aimed at trainees with existing heating, construction or building services experience. Industry qualification pre-requisites do apply, as well as holding or obtaining Water Regulations
Government is currently funding discounted heat pump training as part of the Home Decarbonisation Skills Training Competition, which is set to support training to the end of March 2023. The new grant will support training from Spring 2023 to at least March 2025, with the potential to be extended in future.
The low-carbon heat pumps are critical technologies for decarbonising heat.
To meet the UK’s legally-binding climate targets, thousands more heating engineers will need to learn to install and maintain these technologies.
Trainees can receive grants of up to £500 towards eligible courses.
